Abar Rubber has been in business since 1972, founded and operated by managing director Peter Allen (Dip. Chem, B. Comm). Peter is a rubber chemist, starting in the rubber industry in 1953 and completing a Diploma of Applied Chemistry at night school. His experience in the rubber industry includes tyre company experience and general compounding of polymers for rubber goods and adhesives. He was Product Development Manager at Bostik for 10 years before leaving to start up Abar Rubber in 1972.
