Dextrous Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. - the leader in Malaysia retail outlet and project on solid, hot forged brass hardware, architectural hardware and electronic security system originated as a family owned locksmithing business in Petaling Jaya since 1970. It evolved into Architectural Hardware for supply to hotels, commercial building projects, factories, offices, condominiums, bungalows, houses etc.
As the locksmithing business flourished in the year 1979, we opened our first retail outlet at Jaya Shopping Center. Dextrous began to add new product lines to compliment our locksmithing services. Therefore new exclusive brands were added namely BALDWIN, KWIKSET and VCR.
In order to improve further knowledge on this field, our directors attain courses from Locksmithing Institute of USA, Lock Master Institute Of USA, Paxton Access of UK, Kaba Gege of Austria, Savta Safe & Vault Technicians Association of USA, Baldwin Hardware Corporation of USA and Master Locksmiths Association of Malaysia.
By 1990 due to the continuous support from our clients, our business began to grow rapidly and in order to provide more space for our clients to shop in comfort, we purchased our first building at Section 8/1E, Petaling Jaya, as our head office. We then recruited nine professional staff to ensure strict quality standard to our customers' requirements and satisfaction.
As we began to move into projects, we were awarded sole agencies (sole distributors) for JADO, GRIFF, SUPERIOR, POSSE, BALDWIN and PAXTON. By Mid 1995, due to our talent and expertise, projects began to pour in. (please view some of our successful & prestigious projects as below)
