HYDROCOMBI The new alternative to conventional pneumatic pumping system
A combination of HYDROVAR variable speed drive technology with main fixed speed pumps to provide the perfect solution to pneumatic pump systems.
HYDROCOMBI has been designed to provide the perfect alternative to conventional pneumatic tank pumping systems while offering greater pressure control to water supply and plumbing applications. Each system incorporates a HYDROVAR control to water supply and plumbing applications. Each system incorporates a HYDROVAR controlled variable speed pump as a jockey, and two or more pumps as the main booster ( and stand-by) pumps. A smaller pneumatic tank is supplied standard to ensure buffer capacity at very low flows. The system is supplied complete with a controller panel and full suction and discharge pipeworks for easy installation.
Operation Sequence:
1. Normal Demand
The Hydrovar controlled jockey pump is sized at 25% capacity of the main pumps. During periods of normal demand, the jockey pump regulates the water supply in variable speed mode, thereby maintaining constant pressure along the flow range of the pump.
2. Demand Increase
Main pumps cut-in, thereby boosting pressure and maintaining water demand at the set pressure. further increase in demand beyond the maximum capacity of the main pump will also cause the stand-by pump to cut-in, while continuously maintaining the pressure required.
3. Demand Decrease
Main pumps cut-off one by one. Hydrovar controlled jockey pump continues to regulate at variable speed to maintain continuous pressure.
4. No Demand
Jockey pump stops. The process is repeated again when water demand starts.
