MK Electric has undergone a process of transformation in both the local and international scene. Under the global and regional office, Novar PLC and Novar International respectively, we are steadily moving towards our aim to be a provider of an innovative and cost effective Intelligent Building Systems. We have successfully leveraged matured IT technology to integrate our individual product and system offering in response to the needs of our customers for reduced cost, increased building management efficiency and user satisfaction.
From being a traditional manufacturer better known for is quality switches and sockets, we have now almost a complete range of products and systems to fulfill the requirements of an intelligent building. Novar offerings include, Security Access Control Systems, Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Building Automation and Controls Systems, Cable Management Systems as well as Fibre Optic, Copper Structured Cabling Systems and Speciality Cabling Solutions. They come under the major brands, many of which have leading market positions, including MK, Esser, Gent, Trend, Ega, Ackermann, Brand-Rex and Friedland. Over the recent years, in view of the intense competition in the Asian market, we have undertaken a major value re-engineering from which we are now able to largely fulfill the growing demand of our customers for higher value added products and solutions.
Being a part of Novar PLC, we take pride in assuming our customers quality and reliability for products and services. Novar PLC is a major public listed group on the London Stock Exchange (ticker cide:NVR.L) employing close to 15,000 people worldwide with a revenue of US$2.2 billions in 2001.
Novar International is the Asian regional commercial division for the Group's business in the Intelligent Building sector where over 500 people is employed across North and South East Asia. In the region, there are 9 offices covering the sales and marketing activities and key markets in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Indo-China, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
